A slide space is a surface with text labels on it. You create labels, structure them in patches and connect them to files containing images and movie clips.
In a slide space, you create trails (slide shows) containing the labels in the space. The images and movie clips connected to the labels are displayed when you play the trail. A Random trail is always available to auto-display all images in the space, in random order.
The contents of a space are presented on the surface using the Sens-A-Patch interface. The main idea is for stuff to stay where you put it, and to use the surface efficiently by creating overlapping patches of labels.
Some uses for Slidespace may be:
To create spaces for different topics, where you collect all relevant images and movie clips.
To browse your spaces when you look for inspiration.
To project a space on Random play as a backdrop when you give a talk or host a meeting.
And, of course, to present a prepared trail (slide show) during a talk. If you get a question during the talk, it is convenient to step out of the trail for a moment to find and show other images from the space, then resume the trail where you left it.
