Evenif this site focuses in the use of DC motors, the Motor board allows to control other kinds of motors. This feature is yet undocumented

The circuit board has been designed as a physical add-on to the original design by Hernando Barragan, the so-called Wiring board. It can be connected directly on top of the wiring board and doesn't need to be powered for controlling the logics of it. However, it needs to get an extra power connector in order to plug the motors. Usually motors need a higher amount of voltage and current than the logics in order to function properly
